Eid al-Fitr 1446 H / 2025 Announcement

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.

All praise is for Allah, and may peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, companions, and true followers.

The Assembly of Muslim Jurists of America (AMJA) offers its warmest congratulations to the Muslim Ummah in general and the Muslims in North America in particular, upon the arrival of Eid al-Fitr and announces that tomorrow Sunday March 30th, 2025 is the first day of Shawwal and the first day of Eid. This is due to the confirmed sighting of the crescent of Shawal accepted by multiple Islamic countries.

The assembly, represented by the fatwa committee, makes this announcement to the Muslims of the United States, praying to Allah, the Majestic, the Most High, to accept the righteous actions of us all, just as we pray to Allah to aid our oppressed brothers and sisters wherever they may be, especially in Gaza, and to fulfill what He has promised them by saving them and giving them support. Allah is All-Knowing of people’s intentions, and He is the one who guides to the straight path.
